How Attribution Works
| Step | What Happens | Tracked |

| 2. Click | Viewer clicks the link, redirected through your Associates tag to Amazon. | amazon_asin + affiliate_tag + click timestamp |
| 3. Commission | Amazon reports commission earned. ShelfMotion attributes it to the originating video. | commission_amt + items_sold + date |

Amazon Associates Note: Amazon PA-API requires an active Associates account and a functional website. Add your
AMAZON_PA_ACCESS_KEY, AMAZON_PA_SECRET_KEY, and AMAZON_PA_PARTNER_TAG environment variables to connect to real-time commission data. Until then, projected commissions use estimated rates per category.
